I feel like writing, but I'm not sure about what...so, I'll just write about my health. `^_^

Like I said, I've been doing very well. Been shopping a lot at Whole Paycheck Foods. I typically get a pretty good selection of soups (try to get low-sodium, but that's not always an option), fruits, and juices. I've been drinking a pretty good amount of OJ with Calcium added. I've been eating oatmeal in the morning, too.

It is a BITCH trying to eat healthy, though. First, I have to contend with the fact that eating healthy usually equals eating expensively. Second, not many places serve healthy foods. Everything's got fat, grease, and/or processed sugar in it. >_< The third's not that bad, more funny than anything. My roommates (Dan and Nick) also said they were gonna try and eat healthy. Nick bought $40 worth of pizza last night and offered me some. I can see why Dan was eating (emotional over his car...hell, I'd be doing that too). But I went into the cafe this morning and they had this Sausage McMuffin things and...damn, it looked so good. Luckily, I didn't. :)

I'm trying to stay away from wheat and dairy products. I'll need to go research it, but I think there are bad things about both. And the health benefits you receive from them can be found in other foods. Not that I won't eat these things, but I'm gonna avoid them as best I can. I'm getting my calcium from OJ anyway, and carbs from fruit. I have been cutting down on my drinking a bit; so far in any given night (since New Year's Eve) I've only had two drinks.

So, I guess the question is, what's my goal? Well, obviously to knock out the fat. :) I gained...>_<...16 pounds over the holidays. And even before that I was on a plateau that I just could NOT get off of.

I don't think Viewtiful Joe is gonna make it out this year. I'll probably be slim enough for Sakura-Con that I'll redo my Fighter outfit. ReneƩ had mentioned I'd do well as Chad from Bleach...I'll have to watch and see.

Honestly, though, in the past day or two, I've been feeling better. I've gotten very little sleep (up all night playing Resident Evil 4!) but I've been feeling okay overall and more energetic than I usually do. I can't wait to see how I feel after an entire's night sleep!

Okay, I've babbled on enough. Back to work. Just a few more hours today...tomorrow I FINALLY get to have my own internet hooked up...I'm sure the boys will like that. :)

If you're wanting to drink dairy (which is essential with the whole lose-weight-to-be-more-fit process), it is suggested to drink skim milk. This is what a nutritionist told me years ago for me when I was recovering from an operation. It's better because there isn't all that fat that's there in the 1%-2%, half and half, and whole types. There's an option called "skim milk deluxe" (name may vary at different grocery stores) if you like your milk to actually look like all the other milks.

Woe is me!!!

Hm, he looks pretty cool! Might be a little warm in that outfit...but from what I see, wouldn't be too hard.

Reading up, your right...damn, I really gotta find where I was reading about the negatives of dairy products...

Well, until then, guess I'll start drinking milk again. `^_^ Thanks for the info!

Yay for you!
Part of the reason I'm vegan is because it makes my body feel better.
Sounds like your new diet is doing the same for you.
You're an inspiration!

There's also soy, rice and even almond milk. All of which have calcium.

Perhaps I should look into it.

Calcium isn't a problem. I have OJ fortified with it. But from what I read, it's milk specifically that helps with weight loss. I wonder if soy, rice, and almond milk has the same benefit as cow's milk?

I ate more carbs than anything last year, & with a steady workout routine I lost 40lbs. Of course, metabolism varies by individual. Some people process carbs more efficiently than protiens, & vice versa. I still maintain my opinion that you need a full physical & check-up by a general practice doctor. I think you may have some sort of condition that developed while you were over the 300lb mark. The amount of lethargy you display(as displayed in your seemingly constant lack of energy) is indicitive of some underlying problem.

I've read that it's calcium alone(subscrition to Men's Health).

Really? Cool. Then I don't have to worry about where I get it from then. Thanks. :)

Well, I think the whole "body feeling better" is just not eating stuff like fast and junk food. I mean, with that stuff, you're not really putting good stuff in your system.

I like to eat stuff like sushi just cause I know it's filled with good-for-you stuff.

*^_^* Aw, thanks I'la! Let's see if I can lose the 10-15% body fat I'd like to at least lose. :)

I used to drink milk ALL the time. Now...I dunno. I still like it, but I don't have the craving for it that I used to.

Geez, that sucks. Well, they do have that lactose-free milk...but it looks kind of expensive (like twice the price of normal milk). `^_^

NO KIDDING! It's fucking insane the price of "good" foods. :(

Yeah, but I think you have a very high metabolism. Growing up being rather lazy physical-wise didn't help me, nor does my family history of obesity.

Hm, you may be right. I feel part of my lethargy is partly of the foods I eat; I fucking love pizza, but it's not so good for me. `^_^ But yes, I agree, I should go in for a physical soon and mention that. I do seem to be tired a lot, don't I? -_-
