I know the big post of Freon's is gone, but I'm going to say what I have to say and leave it at that.

Some people, some who don't know the whole situation or just know bits and pieces, have asked me, "What's so bad about Freon?" and "What's he done?"

There's something I learned in psychology that I completely forgot until someone reminded me. This applies mainly to children, but it doesn't exclude adults.

People want positive attention. Hugs, compliments, friendly conversation, the like. When a person doesn't get this positive attention, they will then go for negative attention. Screaming, insulting, distracting people so the spotlight is on them.

I completely forgot this when I responded in Freon's LJ. I would ask that those involved in this situation, just not respond to his LJ anymore. Don't give him the satisfaction of that negative attention. We've all seen what happens. I will no longer be responding to his LJ. I did, and the reaction was not good.

I realize that this post could create further conflict, but the point of this post is to a) provide a source of information so that people don't have to keep asking questions and b) to encourage people to stop replying so that this can finally stop.

As far as Freon and I am concerned, nothing has changed, as far as friendship wise, which is there is none. There is an understanding why it went to that point. That is as good as it gets.

I do stand by my beliefs in regards to his situation, that hasn't changed, but it also means that I'm keeping out of it. It's been done, and nothing can change that. All we can do is move on.

That not only applies to children (and adults), but to some animals as well. Someone (or even a cat or dog) that craves attention will do what they can to get it, whether it be good attention or bad attention.
