More stuff!

  • I need to buy some shoes for my tye-dye tux. I'm thinking something in a white. Do they even make white dress shoes? Something that would be comfortable and I can dance in. Any advice from my fashion-concious friends? :)

  • Dating in the workplace. What do you think about it? Is it okay? I always get a little nervous that someone's gonna yell "sexual harrassment!". Not very likely if all you're doing is asking someone to coffee, but I feel I can never really be myself in an office environment (at least at my current position). And then of course there's even finding the right opportunity...

  • Finally...finally things are feeling like they're falling into place. My bankruptcy is done and over with (as far as I know...it was kinda nice to shred my credit cards last night). I'm finding little ways to save money (I've been eating a lot of brown rice; stuff's cheap and really fills ya up). I haven't been drinking as much either. Just need to find ways to get to the gym more often now...and work on that second job. :)

  • Tomorrow's wedding should be fun! I wonder just how long the ceremony will actually last...with Chris and Anne's being only about seven minutes, it should be interesting.

  • If anyone's interested, a few of us are going to see The Brothers Grimm tonight. If I can get my running around done (pick up tux, make car payment, get to post office, etc) in time, I might meet Stef there a little early.

As usual, back to work. :)

Dating in Workplace, I think the work place period is a bad place to really make friends and yet one of the easiest places to >.<...
Unless the person is just really amazing... I wouldn't risk the chance of a great job... or well.. I guess You'd have to do your own weighing of the goods and bads and or weither or not you want to take the chance... o.O; hm....

Ah! Credit cards are Evi.. hmm... well yes, EVIL!

Our car still says "Just Married" on it ^^; It's done in Arcilic paint and wont come off x_x~ need a thin scraper... (it's like plastic!)

I wanna see a movie!!! but I don't have money to spend ~_~... I'm already paying for FFXI (and hardly ever get the chance to play), so I'm thinking of doing that today and skipping the FRUiT's swap I was thinking about going to all week ^^;

WORK HARD!!!!! ^^

w00d!! Congrats DL!! ^_^

....oh hunnie, you HAVE to come visit me. Seriously, I could find you tye-dye shoes around here. Man, you'd be pimpin! But yeah, white dress shoes should be no problem to find. Well, I dunno, maybe Seattle might not have as many but good god, you can barely find black men's dress shoes in Detroit. :P

Do me a favor and tell Aubrey I love her and congratulations!! I'm really disappointed that I can't be there. Give her a hug for me ok?

I might just do that then. I can stop by a shoe store tonight or tomorrow afternoon and grab something. I guess anything nice and white would do...

I guess it really depends. And, it's not like I know these people. :) I've just seen 'em around (they're in different departments), so I don't know too much about them.

Yeah, I might eventually get another credit card, but man, that'll be a long time and I'll be really careful. >_<

Bah on you for not coming! :P Naw, just kidding. You should really stop paying if you're not playing...

Nah, gotta have some contrast with the suit, so I have the white shirt and the white shoes. :) But yeah, probably take Anne's advice and just get some white tennis shoes; they should work well enough. :)

I'll be sure to. :)

And thanks!

Awesome DL :) The freedom that comes with NO credit cards is awesome. We don't have any (credit cards, that is :P)

Be sure to take lots of pics @ the wedding k? ^____^

I wanna see you in that tux with your new stylin shoes ;)

Yeah, now I just need to pay off my car and student loan (and get that house stuff taken care of), and I'll be home free.

Probably within...2.5 years I'm thinking, hopefully soon if I bust my ass.

Jimmy T. will be taking a ton of pictures, but I'll have my camera too. Of course I'll post! Though my website is having problems and I can't seem to post pics right now...*fume*

I will! Though they'll probably just be pure white tennis shoes. Dan's still humored by the fact that I'm actually wearing my tux today. :)

:D
Take them and SHARE them ;)

Oh, and btw, I feel your pain.. financially. Though we haven't had to claim bankruptcy, I've had my share of eating nothing but beans for weeks :P

I'll post more on my own journal :)

I've got white tux shoes that I use for such occasions. I find them comfy enough, and they look stylin'. They should be available in your size, for not much more than the cost of a good pair of tennis shoes...but they wouldn't be as versatile.

Dating in the workplace? I'd say hell no. That's a baaaaad idea. I've watched it happen. The guy just across the aisle form me was one of the best employees we had, but he got canned two weeks ago for harrassment.

Sounds like an awesome tux! Can't wait to see the photos!

As for dating in the workplace, I would agree with Nightflower84 that you definitely have to weigh the good and the bad. I would also agree with Stef that it's generally not a good idea. It really does depend on what position you are and what kind of company you are at. I would say to never date someone who is in a position above or below you -- that's just asking for it, however, someone on the same level as you can be just as dangerous. Coffee is probably safe, but you'd need to make sure to keep work and relationship TOTALLY separate.

I'm also driven by my heart though, so if you have to go for it, you have to go for it.

I might have to take a look at those. Pure white tennis shoes seem to work okay.

Hm, that seems to be the consensus. Good thing there are plenty of other girls out there. :)

I'll tell ya sometime about a friend of mine and his dealings with workplace dating/harrassment.

Hm, you look familiar...have we met?

Yeah, that's what I'm getting from people. That the bad totally outweighs the good. `^_^

Not like I'm in love with anyone from work. I've just seen a few girls that have caught my eye is all.
