Weekend in Review
Friday night Stef and I headed out to see The Brothers Grimm. It was okay, I enjoyed it. :) Near the beginning we were joined by Saba and Joe. Afterwards we headed over to Red Robin where Lizzie joined us, as well as...*tries to remember* Jerry? Can't remember his name. `^_^ Anywho, good to converse, hadn't seen any of them in a while.
Next day was Aubrey and John's wedding. I met up with ReneƩ, Charlie, James, as well as Alex, Todd, Sam, and Brian. Good to meet some of the Nsiders. :) We headed inside for the ceremony. It was really nice. :) You could tell John was really nervous, but it was cute. :) John was stylin' in his tux, and Aubrey looked really beautiful in her dress. :)
Afterwards we headed down to the old Union Station for the reception. Hadn't been there before, it was pretty cool lookin'. Lots of glass sculptures and stuff.
It was a pretty posh spread. Really tasty food, though not much of an open bar (not that I'm gonna complain that much about free food and drink!). Had lots of good conversation with the group (same group I mentioned earlier). Later on Jessica and Travis came and joined us.
Oh, and John throws like a little girl. He threw Aubrey's garter like two feet. Advice to future grooms? Don't try and shoot it like a rubber band.
And yes, I was kinda hoping to catch it. `^_^
Anyway, we had to get outta there about midnight. We said our goodbyes as Aubrey and John took off and arranged to have breakfast the next morning.
Shockingly, I was able to get up early and most of us met down at the Factoria Mall. Ate at some bar & grill; way to fucking overpriced for what we ate. For the same amount of money I probably could've bought a meal for 2-3 people at IHOP. Ah well. Hilarious watching James berate Sam. :)
I gave Todd a ride to his car, then headed over to my mom's. Hung out and went to the casino. Got lucky on the slots and won $160. :) Woot! Most of the rest of the day was chatting with my mom and little sister. My stepdad...-_- Just...yeah. -_-
Slacked today. Pretty tired, so just hung out, didn't do much. I'll post pics when I can, though since my website's still having problems...we'll see how long that'll take.

I'm going to elaborate a little on the wedding because I think hencucco might want a chick update on the wedding as well. >_<
The colors were navy and silver. Being an evening wedding (7:30P), it almost gave the appearance of a beautiful starry nite sky. John was quite nervous. He greeted everyone but you could tell that he was stressing. Typical church wedding. Aubrey looked absolutely stunning. Barely off white gown with a nice train, halter top somewhat a line and with a gorgeous sequin pattern. Her vail came down to about her elbows. She wore her hair as she usually does; no updo. The bridesmaid/matron of honor all had updo's with navy backless gowns. John got a bit teary during the vows but recovered. XD Ceremony only lasted maybe 20-25 minutes. They stood in the lobby area of the church and greeted everyone as we came out.
They rode off to the reception in an old white Rolls Royce.
The reception was held at the old Union Train Station in Tacoma. http://www.chihuly.com/installations/unionstation/
Snuffins catered the event and it was wonderful. Dijon chicken, salmon, fresh fruit, breads, cheeses, you name it. The bar served homemade sodas, sparkling cider, champagne and wines. The place settings were spectacular. Silver and navy centerpieces with lit candles everywhere. Everything was very sparkly (nite sky reference again). Dessert was yummy :9. The cake was white with raspberry filling. There were eclairs, chocolate dipped strawberries and raspberry tarts.
The sound in the train station made it a bit difficult to hear people talking in the microphone. The dj was very good, played a large variety. The normal dances ensued. Aubrey threw her bouquet like a champ. John completely flopped the garter. Men should roll the garter into a ball and throw it, not attempt rubber band wars with it. XD Aubrey and John mingled and mingled and mingled. They were leaving for Maui the next morning at 10A and you could tell John's feet were starting to hurt him. Aubrey was doing just fine though.
At around midnite the Rolls Royce showed up again and everyone went outside to see them off. As they walked out we threw heart shaped sugar rice (bird safe). They rode off waving goodbye to us as they headed to the Sheraton for the evening.
I really hope people post their pics soon *eyes Stephen & James*.
Sorry for the long post. *flutters back to PoT (Prince of Tennis)*

Lol! I asked James about that cause in his pic he said it was "rice" and I was like, NOOOOOOOOO! xP
Thx for the details..even though I'm not Hen :P. But yeah. I knew the color scheme and I'd seen the dress only in a different color. Aubrey looked GORGEOUS!!! <3 her. Glad to hear it went well! ^_^
