GameNoc: Solstice Edition
Jun. 22nd, 2006 12:14 pmLast night was a blast, but I'm seriously paying for it now. -_-
Arren and I headed to Costco to pick up a few things (my poor, poor wallet...;_;) for GameNoc. We got back and Stef started making dinner; a kick-ass tequila chicken dish. Damn, so tasty! InhabitantJ also brought some chicken, which was also very good. Just thinking about it makes me want to have another. :)
We really didn't start the game portion of GameNoc for a while. Brack brought his friend (Jeff? John?) over who's a bartender. I had WAY more than I usually do, but I have to hand it to him, those drinks were awfully good. :) We played some Apples to Apples (which I think Nikki ended up winning).
After the crowd thinned out a bit I threw in some Super Smash Bros. Melee. There's only one word for how I felt while playing: shamed. Brack's friend completely OWNED me. Granted, I had been drinking, but I'm usually good enough that I can still hold my own even in that condition. Not so tonight. -_- To even it out I then threw in some Wario Ware. Yes, a cheap "make myself feel better" game, though I wasn't kicking ass like I normally do (I'm gonna blame the vodka on that one).
Eventually everyone parted ways. I woke up this morning with a killer hangover. -_- So yeah, I won't be doing much today except for probably playing video games. :) The house was surprisingly clean when I got up, so I won't have to do much there. :)
Apparently, however, we have some dick neighbors. I won't go into the first thing, but the parking situation? Fuck. Some neighbor complained that we had a bunch of cars out in the street, yet our driveway was empty. Hello bitch? Arren uses the garage and he's the first to leave in the morning! It's possible that this complaint might be exclusive to GameNoc, in which case people can park in the driveway those night, but the rest of the time. And of course our neighbors can't talk directly to us; they have to go bitch to the owner. Pisses me off.
Well, I'm gonna grab some food since my stomach is feeling quite queasy. `^_^ Hangover + allergies = sucks. :( Ah well, today'll be fine. I hope everyone's having a great Thursday!

Date: 2006-06-22 08:12 pm (UTC)I'm also going to be looking into the laws on parking in the street. I'm fairly certain that the street is public property and that as long as we not blocking anything (mailbox, driveway, fire hydrant) then it's perfectly legal.
We are in a neighborhood, though, so I'm not sure how that works. I'm normally a pretty laid back kinda guy, but this REALLY pisses me off.
Envy? `^_^ In what way? `^_^

Date: 2006-06-22 09:01 pm (UTC)however, they leave their van in their driveway now.
they are some passive aggressive eastside fucks. OR, libertarians. OR, both *shudders*
if you give me permission i am going to start writing a really nasty letter to them that involves city ordinances and whatnot. a very nice way to tell them to fuck off.

Date: 2006-06-22 11:47 pm (UTC)Like last weekend, they had a tree that fell down in their driveway almost, it was being held up by another tree, so they cleared all their cars out of it to you know, cut the tree down before it falls on all their cars and ruins them.
So like, I guess his neighbors got mad about how they parked, and called the cops on them. The neighbor never even came out to ask them to move their cars, he/she just went straight to calling the cops.
