Oh man, what a trip! The east coast was nice, but I'm REALLY glad to be back home. Like Whitney said, "You never know how good you have it until you've been in New Jersey." Amen. :)

We got to the east coast okay, though the plane ride wasn't very much fun. I now HATE plan seats. They're the most uncomfortable thing in the world. If I'm as big as I am now the next time I fly, I might pull the "morbidly obese" card out and ask for different seating. Fucking ridiculous.

(Friday) Anyway, Whitney's mom met us (very nice lady) and took us to her Aunt Patty's house. We took a nap, then went into Mystic. We had lunch at Mystic Pizza (yep, that one). VERY good pizza, I highly recommend it. :) We then went to a little tourist area where we bought a few little things. Then headed back to her aunt's.

(Saturday) We got up and went to the wedding. Never really been to a Catholic service; it was beautiful. The reception was held at this kick-ass place. I mean, I don't want to think about how much it cost. But they had an open bar, and really good food. Whitney tore up the dance floor, though my stomach was feeling a little queasy, so I didn't dance quite as much as her.

Afterwards, we headed back to the hotel for a quiet evening. Until I threw up. :( Was in the bathroom for most of the night feeling like crap. And some jerks downstairs were blasting Bon Jovi at 3am (would've appreciated it more if I wasn't sick).

(Sunday) After a short period of sleep, Whitney's sister Courtney and her boyfriend Jim drove us to Boston. Whitney took me to Boston Commons and showed me around (lots of cool places like the graveyard where Ben Franklin, Paul Revere, Mother Goose, and Samuel Adams were buried, the site of the Boston Massacre, and the building where they decided on the Boston Tea Party). We got a lot of walking done, though I was really winded (probably due to poor health, but my feeling sick didn't help). We then watched a couple movies and called it a night.

(Monday) Courtney dropped us off in Boston. We hung out at a Starbucks for a while (I was surprised that there were so many Starbucks, but it gave it a homey feel), then went and saw Children of Men. Really good movie, I thought. We then went to a comic store, then eventually headed to have dinner with Courtney and Jim. Jim showed us around Harvard Yard a bit, then we went back to his place to catch a couple hours of sleep before having to get to the airport.

(Tuesday) I'm not sure I like flying now. I'll leave Tuesday at that. :(

Overall, a really good trip. I enjoyed it, minus being sick. Whitney's family is really nice, and I guess they already have me married to her. ^_^ Guess I made a decent impression. I would NEVER EVER live in Boston. Beautiful place with lots of history, and the people are nice! But get people in a car, and they become rude and impatient. Holy crap. Seattle has a grid system for most of its streets, which I really like. Not Boston. I was wondering how they knew where to go sometimes. ^_^

Good times. :)

So I guess the lease on the Bond House is up on 2/15 (have to get a hold of Eric to confirm this). Not that I spend much time at the Bond House anymore, but...I'm gonna miss it. :( It was a really nice house and I liked my roommates. I'd love to have a farewell party for the house, though I'm not sure when we'd have it...I'll have to try and organize something. :)

Things are going really good. I think I lost a bit of weight over the vacation (in part due to being sick, I'm sure). ^_^

Back to work! Sorry for the really long post. ^_^

Whitney is absolutely right about New Jersey! I couldn't have said it better, so very true. It sounds like you had a fun trip, and I'm glad to hear that things are going so well for you right now.

I visited Boston a couple of years ago when my mom temporarily worked there. As different as the east coast is, I looooooved Boston. It is definitely a city for public transportation and walking, though, that's for sure. The driving situation left a lasting impression on my mom and I. :) I would love to go back someday.

The T was kinda fun, but I'm not sure I'd want to do that all the time. And I'd miss my car, though yeah, I don't think I'd ever drive there. ^_^

It had a nice feel to it, and I liked it. It's...old, though. It seems that many things around there don't really get updated. ^_^
