Well, it's not my monitor (I just tried Chattur'gha's)...does anyone have a video card I could borrow? I think at this point it's either the video card or the AGP slot. Maybe. -_-

Well I can look for my old one tonight when I get home. It's bound to by lying around somewhere in the front room. It's a Radeon...9000 I think. All I know is that it's 128MB

Sweet, that would be cool. Thanks! :)

Chattur'gha thinks I fried my mobo, cause I guess he did it with Danny's computer. I really hope I didn't do that... >_

Using Google I found a few sites. For the beep code that you listed it said Video card was the issue. One thing to check would be the voltage that you have the AGP Slot set at. I believe for older cards the AGP voltage was 3V, but newer cards it is 1.5V. Just an idea on what could be the problem.

Yeah, I'm thinking I fucked it up. I guess I need to get gloves or something. Would just regular latex be okay for preventing static shock?

I'm gonna try a second video card tonight.

Cool, thank you, I think I'll pick one up before I mess with my system again.

It's been a few years since I had taken Computer Repair...they had these mats we attached the wrist straps to...I was hoping I wouldn't have to get one of those. `^_^

I have personally found those to be more troublesome then they are worth. I have in more instances had a discharge when using one of those grounding straps. Big key to installing parts is to keep your fingers off the contacts. Hold the video card by the back plane support and touch the case. This way you will equalize the potential between you, the card, and the case.
