Thanks everyone for the posts about my grandma. You guys are too awesome. I'm lucky to know all of you. :)
I talked to my grandpa tonight. She's doing okay. It got rather serious Thursday morning, but she's resting comfortably and will probably be going home on Sunday. I can't remember what all my grandpa said was wrong...something about some fluid in her lungs? Anyway, she is fine and I'll be going to see both of them next week. :)
What else...oh yes, my room is actually starting look clean. You can see most of the floor!
I went to the gym tonight...fuck, I feel like an old man. I'm sore all over, especially my back. It's bad enough that I think I'll have the masseuse that comes in every Thursday and work go to town. Don't really want to pay a buck a minute, but my muscles don't care at this point. -_-
Not much else. It needs to SNOW here badly...I want a snow day! Please??? `^_^
Well, I'll clear my bed off and head to bed... :)

Date: 2005-01-08 10:46 am (UTC)After riding the other day and a bit this morning, I was surprised to find I wasn't sore from it. What kind of exercise are you doing that's overstressing your muscles like that? Because if you're getting a good cardio workout instead of just pumping iron, you shouldn't be so sore and you'll burn more fat to boot.

Date: 2005-01-11 12:18 am (UTC)There may be a program to help out your grandmother
Date: 2005-01-08 09:12 pm (UTC)If your grandmother has Secure Horizons health insurance there is a preventative program called Alere that helps with fluid retention (due to congestive heart failure). It's free for members although there is an equipment fee I think.
I work with the nurse who manages the program for WA and OR and although some people do not like it, a great many find it helpful and it has kept them out of the hospital.

You can email me or get a hold of me through Nate if you or your family wants more info.
Glad to hear she is going home soon!
