Which OStan are you?

You are Windows Milennium Edition, sometimes known as Miserable Edition. You’re a complete spaz, and you know it, but somehow your cuteness and good nature have made you the most popular OS tan.

Wait, I thought everyone HATED WinME? Heh, but I guess I can be a spaz sometimes. *LOL*

Ate some seriously bad food on Sunday. -_- Just have to get back on the wagon...

One of the main reasons I wanted to get a laptop was mostly for space. It would open up a HUGE amount of space if I could get rid of my computer desk. I'm always looking for ways to simplify my life. I think getting a laptop and getting rid of my desktop would probably help. Hm, well, it'd be a ways off anyway...

Still playing Resident Evil 4 like crazy, and re-reading Love Hina.

Gah, the bills just keep rolling in...-_- Maybe I'll check out Labor Ready? I could probably help with moving stuff...I have enough stamina that I can move around better than I used to (i.e. Homer Simpson when he tries to stop Marge from chasing down Snake *LOL*).

Job

My OS personality > your OS personality. :P

Yeah, bills suck big time. *is broke*

But I have my G4 iBook, and G5 iMac so I'm set. ;)

Which iBook do you have?

And can they do most things that PCs can? I was looking at iBooks...they're not too expensive, but I want to be able to watch movies (like .avi and .mpg files). Can it do that?

And whatever. :P I like my OS personality! :) *LOL*

Not sure about the movies. It comes with Quicktime but that's the extent of my knowledge. I have the 14" iBook (http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/70607/wo/Ls7RmTxNJj7X3ZJvMoFwSbnz0nn/0.0.11.1.0.6.21.1.1.1.0.0.0.1.0) with Super Drive. I also have virtual PC on it so yeah, it does basically everything a PC does and more. :D

Really? Hmm...

I like the look of an iBook, and it seems like it'd be a little cheaper than a higher-end laptop...the specs look a lot lower than a typical laptop, but is it like comparing apples and oranges (*LOL*)?

So...with Virtual PC, it will run any program that can be run on a PC?

I'm older than anyone else, I got DOS! lol

Yeah, people could do a lot more if it weren't for those pesky bills. ^_^

Actually, I've never had any problems with WinME.

and as for SlavorReady...

I used ME for a while, didn't really have any problems with it myself. But when I hear people bitch about a Win OS, it's usually ME.

Oh? Not a fan of Labor Ready?

Well, if you want to get up at 4am, be down there in time to get in line for one of the better jobs(if you're there after 8am, forget about working at all), and then get paid mimimum wage for 8-16 hours of grunt menial labor that us professionals don't want to do( and I mean the really nasty, dirty, back-breaking stuff{and for me to call it back-breaking means that it's something that will KILL most office types}), I can put you to work, and at you'd at least know how much of an asshole your boss is ^_~.

No, I'm not a fan of SlavorReady.

Hm. Sounds like a bowl of sunshine.

Any suggestions for alternatives? Or do you think finding a part-time job the best alternative to SlavorReady? `^_^

I'd go through a regular Temp service (such as Kelly, etc.) If you want something more stable, a part timeer might do the trick.

Cool...thanks. :) I'll probably do that instead then. I don't mind getting up early if I have to, but only if I'm guarenteed work that day.

Why does it say ME is the most popular? It clearly isn't... every time M$ comes out with a new version every computer dealer in the nation switches to it, so XP is the most popular.

That's true. Though I would've thought something like Win 98 would've been the most popular...
