Valentine's Day!
Feb. 14th, 2005 01:54 pmFor everyone out there, happy Valentine's Day! For those of you that have that special someone, I hope you have a great and romantic day. For those that don't, let's all get drunk (at least those of us that can legally)!
Years past, I would get pretty down on Valentine's Day. I would think about everyone that had someone but me. In my 24 years, I've had one Valentine's Day where I actually had a Valentine's. Luckily, I'm a little more chill this year. Not quite sure why...but glad I am. :)
Stef is having his Anti-Valentine's Day bash tonight. I'll make a quick trip to the gym, then head over to his place. Can't get too rowdy as I have work tomorrow, but it'll be fun nonetheless. :)
So, what else has been happening? Moving has been going fine. I still have a bunch of crap at the old place, but it shouldn't take too long. The new place is coming together very nicely. Dan and I will have a nice party pad on our hands. :) MUCH better than the old place. The only thing about the new place that concerns me is the mild asthma attacks I've been having. There're too many variables to pinpoint exactly what are causing them...I won't worry about it too much, unless it keeps happening.
Geez, can you believe it's only 52 days until the con? I might have to have Stef help me and whip up a Leon costumes ASAP. -_-
Of course, the only thing is is that I'm REALLY back on the wagon. Minus the liquor (and the celebratory pizza on Friday), I've been eating wonderfully. No fast food, no more pizza. Basically been avoiding the high saturated fat food and those high in processed sugars. If I have a sweet tooth, I'll have some soy cream. Breakfast usually consists of oatmeal and OJ, and I have veggie subs from Subway. Lots of water, too. :)
The little voice that always said, "Meh, go ahead and go to the Jack-in-the-Box!" is finally shutting the hell up. Somehow, I'm finally finding the will power to say no to crappy foods. Now just to work on cutting down on the liquor. ;) But I think the fact that I'll be happier in the new place will really help.
Once the new place is looking a little better, we'll have a little shindig. Actually, probably a couple so Dan and I can invite all who we want. :)
I'll see some of you tonight, but otherwise, enjoy your day. :)

Date: 2005-02-15 01:18 am (UTC)BUT! I'm going make a goal for myself. I want to eat better and lose a certain amount of weight (I'll decide how much later) before I come see you guys this spring. I'm also going to start exercising. I don't have time to go to the gym (yay @ lifetime membership I have -_-) but I'm going to do DDR at home a lot instead.
Man I hope I can stick to this. :\
But I'm glad you're doing so well!!! ^_^ And congrats on the new place. :)

Date: 2005-02-15 02:07 am (UTC)Yeah, emotional eating tends to be pretty common it is for me. :(
Hang in there! I'm trying to lose weight before I go to Hawaii! :) And...well, just for health and appearance issues, too. :)
Stick with it! And thanks. :)
