GAMEWORKS
For the most part, I had a total blast this weekend! I'm really glad that the Gameworks meet went down. :)
Arrived in Seattle, it was just so GOOD to see so many faces I hadn't seen in so long! Let's see...Arlen, Tad, Angel (Pixxie), Karl, Vicki, Miko, Dante, Joe, Forti, Tabbie, Michelle, Kazaar, Colin, Jasmine, Amanda, Jeff (dhaos), Rob (at Yoshinobos)...hell, even got to talk to Big Chris at bit on the phone. Of course, many of the regulars were there...ReneƩ, Charlie, Krall, Lauren, Eric, Alexis, Darin, Stef, I'la...wow (hopefully I'm not forgetting anyone, kick me if I am).
Highlights?
- Buying $35 worth of game credits and only spending about $10.
- Playing a biking game when I had already worked out for an hour earlier in the morning. Owwww...
- Just seeing everyone! :)
- The nametags that Angel was great enough to make, as well as kind of catching up with her.
- Starbucks gift cards from Michelle (Michelle, you're too sweet, I need to get you some Nintendo stuff! Thank you! *hugs*).
- Saying I wasn't going to drink until Krall mentioned a drink called the Spicy Parrot. And then I had to try a Zombie!
- Cool pictures up in the bar area with Alexis, Lauren, Darin, Kazaar, Colin, I'la, and Krall. Hopefully those'll be up soon!
- Tipsy DDR with Stef. Since Charlie picked a song, you know which song it was if you know her...*LOL*
- Kickass hugs from Kazaar (as well as everyone else, but he gives great hugs).
YOSHINOBO'S
After that, we decided to head to Yoshinobo's. Now, I do like Yoshinobo's, but after some sake, I don't know if it was just me coming down off of it or what, but I started to get just bleh. Basically there were like 20 conversations going on, and I could barely hear past Eric, who was sitting right next to me. Things did settle down once the food arrive, and my mood improved. Oh yeah, and then the phone messages that I left for certain people after I had been drinking...even if it was purely innocent, I guess people were saying I was turning beet red. ````^_^
Oh, and a HUGE, GIGANTIC, BIG, BIG thank you goes out to Lauren who sprung for my dinner. I owe that girl big time. :)
I had promised to take Jasmine and Amanda home and though it was quite a drive, I didn't mind. I was pretty tired by the time I got home...though a "tipsy" phone call from Karen livened up the ride home. :)
SAKURA-CON MEETINGS
Got up Sunday morning for the Sakura-Con exec meeting. 'Twas cool as always, then we had the General Meeting. Some great announcements were made, and everyone loved the Naruto Sakura-Con head protectors that Stef made for the exec team. That boy should start a business!
I hung around for a while and visited (and thanks VERY much to ReneƩ, whom I know owe a favor too), then Rob, Steve (hotel guy), Chris (new tech manager) and E-1000BASET (Jacob I think his name is?) went to the storage shed and did techie stuff. Boy, do I have a lot to learn... :)
GYM AND SUNDAY EVENING
Afterwords, I went home and had a small dinner, then went to the gym. Here's where I'm a little concerned.
I felt fine getting to the gym. Maybe a little hungry, but I felt full enough and hydrated. As soon as I start stretching, I got dizzy. My right eye has this "head rush" thing going. You know those colored spots that appear when you stand up really, really quick? It was like I had that in the peripheral vision on my right eye. I also had a splitting headache.
I went through my routine, and even though I lifted a bit more than usual, my body felt...weak. I can flex my pecs at this point in my health journey, but I couldn't during the workout. I ended it a bit early, got some stuff from the old place, and headed home. I felt a little better after eating something, but even now I have a sharp headache pain when I cough. It could be a number of things I guess...change in diet, my body adjusting itself to diet/workout, rapid change in mood/envirnoment...just never happened before. I won't worry about it until it keeps happening.
Oh yes! And I'm getting a new cell phone, a Motorola V300, on Wednesday! Not the best, but you can't beat the price of "free". And internet! Woot! :) I'm really excited.
Well, I got that out of my system...now to go respond to e-mails. `^_^
