Quiet Lunch
Mar. 15th, 2005 02:57 pmGot some free food from Red Robin today (yay for our team doing well!), so I get to have my lunch wide open to relax.
Last night was interesting. I decided to take James' (I emphasize this it still his bike, and after last night, probably still will be) out for a spin. Didn't get too far as it was pitch dark and I don't have a light on the bike, but that wasn't the main problem. I could not pedal that thing for the life of me. Granted, it may have been the gears (I don't know how to work the gears a bike), but I know it's not me. If it's one thing that I can say is pretty strong on my body, it's my legs. Might also have been because I was going up hill...and it is hard to get 290 pounds up a slope. Hm. Maybe I'll have to lose more weight before I can use the bike? That would suck, I was looking forward to some biking.
That's it for now. Maybe I'll go clear out my inbox...

Date: 2005-03-16 11:34 pm (UTC)When I was a kid, I had a pretty cheap mountainbike and the gears on them broke and got stuck to 10. Because of that, I was forced to ride with the greatest level of resistance. I got pretty good at it and now I have really strong legs. Weird, huh?
