I am so freakin' exhausted. I must've woken up three or four times last night. Bleh!

Yesterday was filled with good and bad. I had lunch with Jenny, which was good! However, I had to do bills...

Bills might not've been a problem, if it weren't for the fact that my car is acting up. When I brake, or even when I turn sometimes, it makes a high-pitched "squealing" noise, almost like something's gonna break. From talking with people, it could be the brakes (like I need any more problems with brakes...). Just have to see.

Things are okay, just feeling a little disorganized. `^_^ Okay, geez, I have to go get another mocha...I'm about to fall asleep. I am sleeping in tomorrow...I have the feeling I won't be partying much tonight...

Cars Breaking Down At The Worst Times...

Damn, I hear you on that one! My car acted up right after I moved, and because of this, my money has been extremely tight for the past three weeks. I had to get new brake pads, new brake fluid, and also have them adjusted in a number of other ways. That definitely sounds like brake issues may be the case for you. Usually, it starts with my brakes squeeking a litte, and eventually I'll start hearing metal grind--and that's when it's time to take it to the shop! Why, oh why, can't our cars choose better times to have issues?

Because, cars like to kick their humans when they're down!

My brakes just set me back about $500. Both the rear brake cylinders needed replacing becuase they were leaking huge amounts of brake fluid, rear & front drums/rotors needed resurfacing, and completely new rear brake pads were installed. Oy! Hopefully your situation isn't as expensive!

OUCH! $500?!?! Sorry man...

From what a friend was saying, it's probably nothing TOO serious...but man, I really can't afford more than $400...even that's gonna drain my bank account for two weeks. -_-

Wow, sounds like your car went for the sweet spot! Mine wasn't nearly that bad--I even think it still kind of loves me, in spite of the awful things I've done to its body.

Well, it hasn't broken down yet, but I don't want to take it anywhere in the state it's in. If you heard it, you'd understand. With my last car, I was driving along and bam! No brakes! I don't want to have a repeat incident.

That's an awful thing to have happen--a very similar thing happened to me some years back. I was going south on I-5, and just as I was entering the Dearborn exit (a very sharp turn that one), I pressed my foot on the pedal and nothing happened. I ended up skidding into the railing, but other than a scratch on my car, nothing else happened. I feel extremely fortunate for that.

Wo0t! Another date with Jenny! I really hope everything goes well with you two. I don't see why she wouldn't want to be with you... and it doesn't sound like that's the case. Go Uncle Stephen!

I'm sorry Stephen, it sucks when a car wants to be evil >> -glares at the new van- EVIL >_<

Hey, did you get the email about Star Wars Episode 3? I need to know if you can go (Though the car thing seems to put a damper on the situation)

Well, my baby's gotten me from point A to point B for a few years now...I really haven't taken care of her. :( She's several thousand miles overdue for an oil change. :(

Sorry, I've been slacking, I'll go read the e-mail again and respond right now.

Holy cow, you need to take care of your car!! Do you LIKE wasting money on lazyness??

When is the last time you had your brake pads changed? Those are things that need to be regularly replaced as well. Some car's have a setup where if the pad gets low enough a metal piece will start scraping instead of your brake pad and that could be the noise you are hearing (Depends on the make/model/year of your car tho).

I'd like to add that if you keep up with your car and replace things BEFORE they break and ruin a whole set of things it's really not that expensive to do. Brake pads can be quite affordable.

Not sure what kind of car you have, but oil changes are essential for any car. It may cost some money, but when your engine seizes, you'll wish you had.

Grinding and whining from the brakes is the pads, but if they get down too far, the calipers and rotors could be affected. NOT FUN. Losing your brakes at a high velocity is not a good thing, my friend.
