Chuck-chuck, yo. Shine...
May. 6th, 2005 10:45 amI am so freakin' exhausted. I must've woken up three or four times last night. Bleh!
Yesterday was filled with good and bad. I had lunch with Jenny, which was good! However, I had to do bills...
Bills might not've been a problem, if it weren't for the fact that my car is acting up. When I brake, or even when I turn sometimes, it makes a high-pitched "squealing" noise, almost like something's gonna break. From talking with people, it could be the brakes (like I need any more problems with brakes...). Just have to see.
Things are okay, just feeling a little disorganized. `^_^ Okay, geez, I have to go get another mocha...I'm about to fall asleep. I am sleeping in tomorrow...I have the feeling I won't be partying much tonight...

Date: 2005-05-06 06:34 pm (UTC)Damn, I hear you on that one! My car acted up right after I moved, and because of this, my money has been extremely tight for the past three weeks. I had to get new brake pads, new brake fluid, and also have them adjusted in a number of other ways. That definitely sounds like brake issues may be the case for you. Usually, it starts with my brakes squeeking a litte, and eventually I'll start hearing metal grind--and that's when it's time to take it to the shop! Why, oh why, can't our cars choose better times to have issues?
Re: Cars Breaking Down At The Worst Times...
Date: 2005-05-06 09:29 pm (UTC)My brakes just set me back about $500. Both the rear brake cylinders needed replacing becuase they were leaking huge amounts of brake fluid, rear & front drums/rotors needed resurfacing, and completely new rear brake pads were installed. Oy! Hopefully your situation isn't as expensive!

Date: 2005-05-07 12:41 am (UTC)From what a friend was saying, it's probably nothing TOO serious...but man, I really can't afford more than $400...even that's gonna drain my bank account for two weeks. -_-

Hey, did you get the email about Star Wars Episode 3? I need to know if you can go (Though the car thing seems to put a damper on the situation)

Date: 2005-05-07 03:19 am (UTC)When is the last time you had your brake pads changed? Those are things that need to be regularly replaced as well. Some car's have a setup where if the pad gets low enough a metal piece will start scraping instead of your brake pad and that could be the noise you are hearing (Depends on the make/model/year of your car tho).

Date: 2005-05-07 06:31 am (UTC)Grinding and whining from the brakes is the pads, but if they get down too far, the calipers and rotors could be affected. NOT FUN. Losing your brakes at a high velocity is not a good thing, my friend.
