I swear, when I get a new hard drive, I'm taking my current one out to a field and going Office Space on it. The thing is pissing me off and it's preventing me from doing con work. Anyway...
So, yes, I'm poor as hell right now. I just made the payment for my airfare which dropped me down to very little money. As much as I loathe to think about it...I might have to ask Dan for a trip to Costco where I can get a case of Top Ramen. Don't get me wrong, I like Top Ramen, but it's just so terrible for you. But it's better to eat bad food than no food. -_-
Ummm...not much else, I think I'm looking forward to the weekend. I could've sworn I had stuff going on tonight and tomorrow, but I honestly can't remember! Oh yeah, my list of chores? Got none of that done. -_- I'm a bad, lazy boy.
Oh well, luckily I have nothing going on Sunday, so I can use that to get things done.
Hmmm...maybe I'll encase my hard drive in cement and make it "sleep with the fishies". That would be some nice, sweet revenge. :)

Humm
Date: 2005-06-03 06:39 pm (UTC)I know how you feel with money. I might have to do the ramen thing as well. Oh well, the price you pay for a fun vacation. :D
Re: Humm
Date: 2005-06-03 06:53 pm (UTC)Yeah, it'll be worth it. I need to get my app into Starbucks. I think the extra money would REALLY help. I hate the cost of living around here.
Commute
Date: 2005-06-03 07:10 pm (UTC)Re: Commute
Date: 2005-06-03 08:42 pm (UTC)Yeah, if rent + utilities is less than what I would spend on the difference in gas, that's something I'd seriously consider.
And thanks! :)
Rent
Date: 2005-06-03 08:54 pm (UTC)Take care!
Re: Rent
Date: 2005-06-03 08:59 pm (UTC)Rent: $400 (though this will be going up slightly when our six-month lease is up)
Power: Usually $35 (lately, it's been going down)
Cable: Usually $20
Internet: $64 (I have DSL with Speakeasy, so I don't have to have a phone line)
Water: Usually around $15
These are all after I've split them with Dan.
Hmmm....well, hey, I'll let you know what happens with Dan and I. Man, you rock. :)
No Problem :)

Date: 2005-06-03 07:18 pm (UTC)*sigh* Everything that I can think of that's good for you is too expensive. Geeze, how can people afford to be healthy anymore?
Hmmm. Maybe you can eat your hard drive! No saturated fat, no sodium, low calories, low carbs....

Date: 2005-06-03 08:45 pm (UTC)*nods* Sadly, that's how it is with food. Honestly, I don't think I have to worry too much...I have a couple of loaves of break, almond butter, a bag of frozen chicken, and lots of noodles and spaghetti sauce. I'm thinking I'll be okay, I'll just have to stretch food out a bit. If nothing else, I do have my multivitamins. :)
Hmm...lots of minerals in the hard drive, I would think. `^_^

Date: 2005-06-03 09:35 pm (UTC)I do however have a TV that is starting to get a screwed up picture quality. But it's so heavy it may not be worth the effort to Office Space it.
And a bat may be good, but a sledge hammer would be better.

It's a new hard drive. It's about...mmm...wow, I dunno how old. About a year I think?

Date: 2005-06-03 11:32 pm (UTC)You know, I like to get whole wheat spaghetti noodles. They're better than normal or ramen noodles...and...hm, maybe I could make my own healthy ramen from them?
Thanks Karl! You're a good inspiration for healthy cooking! *thinks* Yes, I have frozen veggies, some chicken, add some noodles, some spices; I could totally experiment!

Date: 2005-06-04 01:13 am (UTC)Can you recommend some good spices that are used in ramen or something like Pho to give that kind of flavor?
no subject
Date: 2005-06-04 08:34 am (UTC)Don't EVER put too much of a spice. Had to remind myself of that b/c of my overuse of pepper. ;___;
I haven't tried Pho per se, but I know that they use beef stock and spice it with onions, cilantro and other small greens. As well as basil, but they ususally give you that when they serve it. It might turn out more expensive than you thought b/c spices are expensive. ^^;; Just try out whatever's around. I actually put in some Kikkoman after so it would actually have flavor. Cayenne pepper sounds really good for it. Not sure what else....
