"God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."

Lately, I just need to remember that. That's my motto. There are events that have been happening lately which I have no control over. I need to remember to not freak out about them and just accept that those things will happen, and I'll just have to deal with them the best I can. I am Dude Mellow. :)

Things are going spiffy I suppose. I have a pretty full week with everything, but it's pretty steady and not overwhelming.

On the plus side I've been doing better with eating. I've been eating a lot more fruit and veggies, and staying away from fast and junk food. I still need to work on my alcohol intake, but that's going down too.

*thinks* Just busy, busy, busy! I hope everyone's having a good Tuesday!

I think you would enjoy meditating.

I probably should. I think it would help me out...I just need to find the time and do it.

Good to hear that you're eating/drinking better. ^_^

Now....if only I could get you off of coffee.... *plots* >:D

I just need to remember to get more sleep. If I did that, I'd be okay and wouldn't need the coffee.

This is the full text of the prayer of which you speak...

--------------------------------------------------------------------

GOD,
Grant me the Serenity
To accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference,
Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time,
Accepting hardship as the pathway to peace.
Taking, as He did,
This sinful world as it is,
Not as I would have it,
Trusting that He will make all things right,
If I surrender to His will,
That I may be reasonably happy in this life,
And supremely happy with Him forever in the next.

AMEN

--------------------------------------------------------------------

This beginning of the text is powerful, but the conclusion is immensely meaningful. I only learned last week after 27 years that there was more to this prayer.

I guess it's a bit easier to just remember the first portion. `^_^

But yeah...the later portion is good too.
