Date: 2005-06-24 10:46 pm (UTC)I admit that I do shop their once in a while because there's one about 1/2 mile from my mother's house, but I would NEVER work there. That kind of fake happy atmosphere is appalling.

Date: 2005-06-25 12:05 pm (UTC)But you're right, the working atmosphere is appalling. I even spoke with a cashier about it, while she was behind the register. Same with Best Buy. It's so apparent and so commonplace, it seems to be accepted by the workers with an "oh well, what can we do?" response. Like a fact of life.

Date: 2005-06-25 11:47 pm (UTC)I'm all about saving a few bucks (I can be pretty frugal when I want), but not at such a high cost. This is a company without any kind of ethics. It's disgusting.

Date: 2005-06-25 11:45 pm (UTC)It's not so much that they're big. It's the complete lack of ethics that they have. For as big as they are, how little their employees get paid. It's like a weird fucking cult.
