dudelovenext is worn out.
Sleep when you're dead! Whether it's emotionally or physically, you're exhausted. Have you considered sleeping pills? I took them when I had mono, and they made everything better.

Yes, I know...I just never get enough sleep... :(

Nikki said that she puts her quizes behind LJ cuts so they don't mess up people's friend's pages; sounds like a good idea to me. :)

Last night, had dinner with Jimmy, Aubrey, and John, and then went over to Stef's for a little Chai. Mmm...chai... He let me borrow his keyboard, so...I'm gonna see if I have any musical aspirations anymore.

I don't know why, but as soon as I got to work today, I just about keeled over. For some reason, I'm just way exhausted. I could've used a bit more sleep...got about 5 1/2 hours. Still, I'm usually more awake than this.

Next weekend...good god. It's just gonna be hectic. I have a wedding to go to, a birthday party, and, if it pans out, perhaps a bachelor party. And I can't drink at any of 'em. Booo! Ah well. I wonder if Chris and Anne invited a lot of single girls to their wedding? You know my tye-dye tux will bring 'em all to the yard. :)

...okay, I feel really dirty for making that reference. Unclean! >_

I woke up today, got to work, spent the first hour just fine...and then got violently ill. It was only for an hour or so, and I blundered through somehow, but I'm sure I repeated myself several times and was simply sloooooow, I was so out of it.

I think it was the Chimichangas.

It is the epidemic with Saturday work in this culture. Shabbat used to be honoured in this country, now we all work too hard for little more than a pittance, and we drag ourselves into work on days that used to be considered at days to relax. All of this in the name of "convieniece". It's really inconveinent to be DEAD because you worked yourself to an early grave. I myself have just gotten off of my bi-weekly Saturday shift. Thank God it isn't every week.

I'm sure it's worse in Japan...though...hm, never looked that information up. I'm thankful I have Sundays off. :)

Yeah, it's just kinda how corporate America is. Gotta do what you can to stay ahead. I envy Europe. I think I heard that they have a shorter work-week (ours is 40 hours, I want to say that their's is something like 35? Don't quote me on that).

It's against the law to work more than 32 hours in France if I memory serves me right, and they also have some of the highest taxes in Europe. There is always a trade-off, and that is the fact that their economy, like the rest of Europe is struggling to keep up with us. That is the whole reason for the European Union and the introduction of the Euro. It's kind of like a "United States of Europe"...unfortunately, their economies put together can't compete with the US. So, while I may not like the concept of coroporate America in terms of it's outright selfish attitudes, it is CERTAINLY better than a socialist government. We have a better standard of living than pretty much every country on the face of the planet BECAUSE we work 40 hours a week, and receive overtime(thanks to organized labour). So, while we may not like it, it has distinct advantages.

I'll take the longer work weeks and overtime if my standard of living is higher too. `^_^

There's always gotta be some sorta balance I suppose...

I suppose Shabbat = Sabbath

I've never had to work a Sunday. My husband doesn't work Sunday's either. You tell your boss it's against your religion, they back off (or they should unless they want trouble).

^-^

I don't work Sundays...as that is the Lord's Day. Shabbat was originally God's day of rest for mankind. As Christians, we adopted the Sunday in hopes of luring pagans into the faith, circa 330 I believe, but the original disciples worshiped on the first day of the week in celebration of the resurrection on the thrid day.

The premise is that we do not need to rest on the Lord's Day...this is His gift to us to worship and gather as believers. The Shabbat is intended as our rest. Therefore, I believe one should have a Saturday off as well, conforming to the original idea. However, since we are under the law of grace, it may not be Saturday for you. ^_~

Sorry for the overly religious posting there, Dude! ^_~

I just posted a sort of announcement on my LJ. If you want to advertise it as well, that would be cool. The more, the merrier! :)

Solution: Stop playing Chrono Cross. It's a waste of time. ;)

NEVER! I will find out how the story ends, and, look forward to the next Chrono game.

You're just a hater, Jimmy T. Why's you got to be drinking the Hateraide?

Though...no more 3am sessions of Chrono Cross. `^_^

I'm sorry my friend, I am afraid he's right. As an avid fan of the original Chrono Trigger, it was with a very heavy heart that I came to accept the bitter truth--that Chrono Cross eats dick. I was motivated by the same drive to force myself through it as you are now--to see how it ended--and that's the bitterest pill to swallow of all.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Well...I'll just have to hope the next one is better. But I'm gonna play through it just to spite Jimmy T. :)

I've liked the story so far...

For me, including things in the game like Micheal & Janet Jackson-inspired characters, among a score of ultra-boring ones, definitely made me cringe a bit. What had become of my favourite character, Magus? Robo, Frog, Ayla? Sadly, you only learn the fate of three characters from the original--and it's not very cool... Maybe you'll like it though, you're an optimist...

Nikki and Miki you mean? I think Miki's pretty hot. ;) But true. I think they wanted to give a big variety...and the characters really suffered for it. Most of them I don't give a shit about.

Well, I can only guess...Frog and Ayla were in the past, so they're probably long dead (although that just seems...anti-climatic). Robo, he may or may not exist in the new future (hopefully!). Magus...well, I read some of the dialogue for Radical Dreams, and he's out and about. But it would've been nice to see him.

Right now I just got through the Dead Sea. Doesn't the game take place in 1020 AD? Crono, Marle, and Lucca should be around...sadly, I've read some spoilers, but I'm trying to keep myself from learning too much. `^_^

......you sooooo don't sound right saying the words "hater" and "hateraide." Just thought you should know. ;)

Oh, and it's not "Why's you got" it's "Why you's gots" Try and remember that. ;P

I don't know why lj cuts off the last part of that >.< unless there is something typed behind it.

but yeah... a quiz really screwed up my lj so I don't wanna have it happen again. not like putting it behind a cut takes long.
