The green light needs to die a terrible, painful death.

>_<

Anyway...day's going okay so far. Just trying to get through my e-mails. I kinda don't want to go out tonight. I probably won't get home until like 2am, and I won't even get to read the new Harry Potter since I'll have to work tomorrow. Maybe I just won't go to the Sakura-Con meeting on Sunday...I'm not currently on staff anyway.

I guess I'm just a little discouraged. This paycheck I got my bonus. The way I had originally had it planned out, I'd be able to pay off most of my bills, most of the people I owe money to, and still have a few hundred left over to get the stuff I need for my computer. I think after it's all said and done I'll be lucky to have $100 left over. Am I just that bad at money management? So yeah, just a little discouraging sometimes. Not to mention I gotta start saving up for Hawaii...

Tell me about it; Our lights were red for most of this morning. Only now has it slowed down to about 15 secs between calls.

At least with red, it's like, "Okay, I'm gonna be here a while, pretty much no matter what". With green, it's like, "Oh, it might almost..gah! Nope..maybe...no! Another one!"

Man at the Starbucks IT help desk we were slammed since 2am. Normally I can spend the first few hours just generally goofing around and then it's get busy for an hour, then tappers off, couple of minutes between calls. Today we had 8-13 calls in queue all day.

I hate those kind of days. I don't have any problem being productive, or even being rushed from time to time, but a constant rush just leaves me exhausted...both mentally and physically.

Geez, sounds like it was worse for you than it was for me. `^_^

At my old work, the calls would just beep in and you'd have to stop whatever you were doing and focus on that call. At this job, the phone rings, and I can answer, or it can 'accidentally' be lost. Or I can stay in aux work for long pierods of time, and I won't be bothered about it unless there are several calls in queue or I successfully remain under the supervisor's radar.
Now these are..umm..bad habits that I only resort to when I'm having a sucky day or just tired of stupidity.^^

It depends on the extension for me. My main extension, I don't have a choice, it comes in and I have to take it. If I'm on my Admin extension, then it's like yours, the phone rings and I can choose to pick it up or not.

Yeah, I try and take every call I can, as fast as I can, but I get stressed out because I really don't get a whole lot of time to collect myself. `^_^

I get 3 rings and then the call goes ot my voicemail. I have to put myself in available though, and I don't get rated for work or unavailable time. Since it's Starbucks I regularly get up to make a latte or passion tea iced lemonade.
On slow morning we play fuseball, come up with new paper airplane designs or just throw shit at each other.

Sounds a little more casual than around here at Nintendo. :)
