A comic artist comments on how it's cool to be retro...or something, it's about Nintendo, go read. :)

Growing up, I was terrified of letting it be publicly known that I loved Nintendo. Oh, sure, I played games, and traded them with my friends, but wear a Nintendo shirt? Oh hell no! I wasn't exactly a jock (i.e. I wasn't with the "in" group) and I had some pretty big self-esteem issues.

...though I wonder how much cooler it really is nowadays. Believe me, I have no problem walking around in public with my 1Up or Triforce shirt...though I realize it's probably not the best babe magnet. `^_^

May not be a babe magnet, but imagine the times to come if you DID meet a chick who saw the shirt and gave you a thumbs up while reciting the Konami code? I know I'd be in fucking love right there.

That's very true! Honestly? The perfect girl for me...I could give her a blue feather and she'd know exactly what it means. :)

lol, rock on yo. Btw, I haven't seen you at Fry's recently, though I think I remember seeing your name on a quote for some ram at one point. And yeah, I was that guy in the cage that was all like "omg dudelove I <3 j00!" a month or so back. Good times.

Yeah, I haven't had the money recently. `^_^

I'll be sure to say hi next time I'm down at Fry's. :) I think I might've been having an off day and forgot your name (bad me!). `^_^

It's all good, we haven't seen eachother since that party at the house where I made out with I'la and didn't know her age. That shit was funny too, everyone was playing strip poker and BeanieSteve told them all what was happening and everyone's like "Wait...WHAT?" lol

I insist on keeping my original NES, much to my parents' and fiancé's displeasure. *lol*

Totally! It's okay if they're not cool enough to know the awesomeness of the NES!

That feature alone will justify the price of the system!

*lol* OMG, sooooooo true! I used to carry around a "Super Mario Bros. 2 / [Original] Legend of Zelda" plastic lunch box to school. Everyone would always say to me, "Isn't that lunchbox for boys?" "Girls like Nintendo, too!", I'd reply. *lol*

The problem is that I was both a Nintendo AND Sega girl. I never owned a SNES because I owned a Sega at the time, so I was in love with the Sega... but the times before and after Sega (NES and N64) I was a huge Nintendo fan. :3

Hehehe. I know that feeling. I was visiting my family a while ago and I pulled out my DS to picto chat with my cousin Max. His little sister came up to me and said, "That's for boys!!" x_x I was sooooooooo disappointed. "No Kenzie, girls play video games to. They're cool!" She didn't believe me. :\

Gah, we need to teach these kids that that's not true! Luckily, my little sister is hooked on Pokémon...definitely a start!

It will probably attract the kind of woman you have something in common with or at very least, any woman who could hold your interest wouldn't avoid you because of it.

That's true! However, I don't see a lot of gamer girls out in public. Not that I've noticed, at least.

And it'd be nice, but I wouldn't say it's a requirement. Still...yeah, it would be nice. :)

She'd have to tolerate it, but so much the better if she likes to play, too. :)
