Lots of spambots I've been noticing on LJ and MySpace though. I'm getting messages from people that don't have their profiles filled out all the way, and there's someone constantly posting "SEE MY WEBPAGE" posts in the bi_people community.

It's likely going to your spam box. Add lj_notify@livejournal.com to your address book, and it should fix it (it has for me).
