I'm trying to see if I should start uploading all my pics at 1024 x 768 or keep them at about the norm of 800 x 600. Thank you to everyone that puts in a vote! If you have more than one computer with different resolutions, vote for the one you use the most.

Mine is set to 1280 by 800.

I'm fine with big pictures now that I'm not on dial up (finally!!), but I tend to prefer posting ones that are 800 by 600 or smaller.

1280x800 widescreen here, with LJ iconifying large pics and the browser doing a "fit to screen" when looking at larger ones directly. I say go for it if that's the size you want. ^_^

I've got on at 12x10 and one at 10x7, so either works for me. I post my stuff at 8x6 most of the time just because it doesn't really need to be much bigger than that unless you are going to print it, imo.

The actual resolution depends on which computer I am searching from. My computer at home is wide screen while my computer at work is not, so obviously there will be resolution differences, never mind checking from my phone or PSP. However, unless I am looking for desktop pictures, I find 800x600 to be a fine resolution for pictures. I usually have my resolution set higher than that, and I prefer pictures not to take up the entire screen.
