Not A Bad Week So Far
Jun. 10th, 2008 04:47 pmLet's get this out of the way.
Guess I'm just not feeling all that good-looking. My complexion, at least on my nose, has had some issues (dry skin and clogged pores). Then I slid the button part of my leatherman case under my fingernail. That did not feel good at all. Then...ugh, just lots of little things. Sick of my body sometimes.
But on the plus side, I feel like I've been eating pretty good the last few days. I had some McDonalds on Sunday that made me feel pretty ill, so I think my fast food cravings are going away.
Things are going good at MS. Initially, one full-time position was opened, but I just found out that three are now open, so...definitely increases my chances. :) Got a very cool little gift that my team is using for marketing, so that's nice.
I thought the results of my poll were funny. Nice to think that some people think I could do it, though surprised that Nikki voted (thought she didn't really like me). But Nikki, if you're reading, it was nice of you to vote (even if you think I completely could not do it). :)
Been spending some money that I probably shouldn't, but I think it'll be the last of it for a while. Got a new monitor, a new BBQ, and some new kitchen appliances.
Been starting to be a bit more social. I actually had lunch with someone (Karen). A total shocker! But it was awesome to see her again. :) Her guns are freakin' rockin'.
That's about it, though. I've mostly been working and playing games and cleaning, though I'm trying to manage my time a bit better and get some time in for friends, exercise, and projects. I just never have enough time...
Hope everyone's have a great afternoon. :)

Date: 2008-06-11 04:10 am (UTC)A good long coffee night or something might be fun. (Or Tea). Or something!!!! I also get distracted by being consumed in my foodz. Cause I live for food!!! haha.
New monitors kick ass... and I want a nice BBQ one day, but I have a Webber style one that works fantastic once it gets lit.
And kitchen gadgets... who can resist??
Thanks! I work hard on those guns but I think it's so worth it. I love how I feel in my new body! haha.
And you know what, I have some cool cardio-strength training I like to do with others, so if you ever want to try them out!! They'll kick your ass.
I think the circuit training (supersets) is what transformed me more than my running sometimes. But it's really fun to do with a partner and that is how I started.
They only take 20 minutes and they're really fantastic!
None the less. It used to be a full body for me but it's been scaled back to arms/abs due to my knee. They can be done anywhere, which is totally great. Living room, lawn at a park, the gym - anywhere.
Random.

Date: 2008-06-12 12:14 am (UTC)Hm, I'll have to check my schedule, I think that would be a lot of fun!
Oh, it's shiny. I didn't realize how bad my previous monitor was. ^_^ And I'm excited to try out my BBQ. You'll definitely have to come over when I have some BBQs this summer!
Hm, I might! Though I'd be a little worried about skill level...you are light-years ahead of me in the fitness department. I don't want to slow you down. :)
You'll get back into the full swing of things. :)
You rock. :)
