Yes, I sugar-coat. It's bad, I try not to. It's just really hard. I don't think I know how to be honest without being insulting if my opinion is less than positive. Or is that even possible? Or maybe I just think about it too much?

I want to be more honest, but I get too scared of hurting the person's feelings if it's not a 100% positive opinion. Not sure I could ever be ruthless.

But - don't sweat it.
I'm pretty brash at times, but people still love me ;)

It's at at times worse not to be candid with folks.
Honesty and coldness, is not the same thing.

I find being forth right opens up relationships often times more than a sugar-coated dialogue of evasion.
Once things are stated with honestly, folks are able to move on and get beyond any contention that either party may harbor. If you are not always honest, and shy away from it - problems linger and fester and it can be (not always) worse in the long run.

Ever think of it that way?
